ParkIt is an App that designated on accompanying and guiding your amusement park stay and will help you minimize your waiting time, skip unwanted rides, and have more fun!w
You are at the amusement park, the sky is bright blue, you have your family or friends with you, and everything is almost too perfect.
That's right about when you see the hugely long line to the triple loop roller-coaster that you dreamed of getting on and that you don't know where to go or if to wait for that line.
Or maybe you have some kids in your group that you need to take care of, and in this overwhelming environment, you need to navigate this endlessly park with an outdated map to help you move around with no clue on which rides have limitations.
This is where ParkIt comes for the rescue.
One of the main goals when visiting an amusement park is to have as much fun as possible at every single moment and to do so the first stage of the app is a short 6-step onboarding to understand the group needs by creating an account and defining the group.
After the short group onboarding,
We start the custom journey of each user with some super easy questions to know what you want to avoid or if the group have some users that might don't fit the rides restrictions
Time to have some fun!
ParkIt let you choose your way of navigation, out of three navigation modules.
First is to let us navigate and run all the calculations for the user to save as much time as possible while letting you focus only on the important stuff (regarding the onboarding restrictions that might have come up).
The second module let the user navigate as he sees fit, while the app shows updated waiting times and how far is each ride.
Last but not least is the list navigation, which works best for the experienced planners that know practically what they want to do on each day at the park.
My approach when designing this app was fun, simplicity and some more fun.
Big icons, simple and clean UI with the familiarity of Material Design icons were used to make things feel natural and easy to use.I chosen to design the ride overview in a dashboard-style design so the user that may be a kid surrounded by noise and excitement or an adult who is in charge of navigating through the park can do it with as much ease as possible and to be in line with the general guidelines that I have chosen for this project.
